Ahmadu Bello University Recruit 120 Security Personnel to Enhance Security on Campus
The Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria Professor Abdullahi Mustapha, weekend said the university has recruited about 120 security personnel to enhance security on the campuses.
Professor Mustapha made this known to journalists shortly after inspecting the passing out parade of the security personnel at the main campus of the university.
He said the measure is to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the university.
Professor Mustapha enjoined the personnel to be diligent in discharging their duties. He said the university management had provided the security unit with all the necessary gadgets for the smooth running of their job.
“We also have a good working relationship with other security outfits in Zaria and we have been cooperating and collaborating with them,” Professor Mustapha said.
The ABU Security Coordinator, retired Colonel Abubakar Saddiq urged the university community to continue to cooperate with his personnel, in order to d help in ensuring that the university is made secure.
