Super Eagles’ captain, Joseph Yobo said he expects a good result in Wednesday’s friendly match against the Mena of Niger Republic in Niamey.
The venue of the match is the 40,000 seats Stade Gen Said Kountche in the Niger capital named after a former Niger Head of State.
Niger are using the game to prepare for their crunch 2013 Afcon duel against Guinea in Conakry on September 8.
Yobo said he knows the quality of the domestic players and trust that even in the absence of the foreign-based stars Nigeria will get a good result in Niamey.
“I wish them good luck and a fine result because they are quite good and capable of doing what all of us in the team can do,” said Yobo.
The Fenerbahce defender also assured that now that he is done with his club future, he will be back for the Eagles’ Afcon tie against the Lone Star of Liberia in Monrovia next month.
“By God’s grace Nigerians will see a brand new, refreshed Joseph Yobo in the match against Liberia,” he said.
