National Association of Seadogs Donate Funds for Support of Indigent Cross River Students

The National Association of Seadogs has donated N300,000 for the support of indigent students in Cross River State. The money was presented to the state’s Commissioner for Social Welfare and Community Development, Barrister Patricia Inyang Enderley in Calabar. President of the association, Dr. Ofem Enang, said the donation was in fulfilment of a pledge made recently.

He said the gesture was borne out of the fact that the issue of literacy is of importance to the association.

“We believe that those who are strong should protect and defend the weak and the vulnerable ones in the society. The presentation of this cheque is our own little way of saying thank you for what you have been doing and what Cross River State government is doing for the weak and vulnerable people despite its limited resources”, he said.
