Falconets Draw 1-1 With Brazil in Second Group Match of FIFA U20 World Cup
The Falconets of Nigeria drew1-1 with Brazil on Wednesday in their second group match at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
A win would have taken Nigeria to the quarterfinals but after taking the lead through Francisca Ordega in the 44th minute.
But the Brazilian women equalised three minutes before the final whistle through Giovanna Oliviera’s flick from a Thais Guedes freekick.
Nigeria, with four points will play against Italy in their last group match on Sunday and a draw could be enough to move to the next round.
