Security Agents Arrest 7 Man Student Gang of College of Education in Kwara Over Rape and Abduction of Female Student
Operatives of Department of Security Services (DSS), Kwara State has arrested and paraded a seven-man gang suspected of indulging in cult activities, abduction and raping of a female student in one of the colleges of education in the state.
The suspects, all under 25 years were arrested by the operatives at Ode-Sarumi in Ilorin West local government area of the state after a tip off by the victim.
The suspects are: Abdulrasaq Abubakar, Musa Zikirullah, Kamaldeen Isiaka, Olanrewaju Lawal, Olanrewaju Ibrahim, Tunde Yusuf, and Abdulrahman Jimoh all of no fixed address.
Parading the suspects, the state Director, Operatives Department of Security Services (DSS), Mr Williams Ologba disclosed, “The command received information of abduction of a student and raped by the gang. Immediately the command contacted the victim who volunteered information that led to the arrest of the suspects.
“When search was conducted on the residence of the accused, a lot of incriminating objects were found with them and recovered. This include criminal charms, locally made pistol, fake currency, cutlasses and a masks.”
Alogbo who said the accused are suspected to be students of one of the colleges of education in the state added, “Three of the suspects may likely belong to a cult group based on the recent development sin the state.”
