After over five months of explosive academic activities the management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology had declared a two week break for both Staff and Students to enable them have some deserved rest starting from the third week of June.
Hence, the second semester for the 2011/2012 academic session has hereby officially commenced on Monday, the second of July, 2012. Though, academic activities have not kick-started, students have started trickling into the campus in readiness for the commencement of normal school activities. Students who are not yet in school are hereby advised to report on campus in earnest, bearing in mind that the current School Management led by Professor Sulaiman Gbadegesin, the School’s Vice-Chancellor is known to stand by its word as was evident in the commencement of the last semester exams on the originally scheduled date. There might therefore be no much time wasting before the commencement of academic activities as has usually been the norm.
It is also worthy of note that the Student Union Building otherwise known as KudiratAbiola Building now wears a new and better look. The walls have been repainted and the building has also been furnished with new sets of office cushions and split air-conditioned units among others. A reliable source informed us that the refurbishment was on the bill of the School Management. This trend is healthy for the School as it shows a good rapport between School Management and the Students. Kudos to the School Management on this superb move. We hereby look forward to more of this kind.
Candidates who sat for the School’s post-utme exams of June 16, 2012 are hereby reminded to visit the School’s website to check their results.
On a final note, Students are advised to keep up with latest happenings on this platform.
Wishing us all a fruitful and blissful semester ahead.
