Alternative Ways to Make Money From Your Blog
Most bloggers especially beginners tends to cling to Google adsense as their only means of income; while google adsense is very reliable it is not always good for one to put all their eggs in one basket. There are various why you can monetize your blog. I have tried as much to bring some to you here.
Affiliate Programs – One very good source of income for bloggers especially if you are popular is affiliate program. A short and genuine review of a product and service plus your affiliate link to that product/service is just almost enough. Banners and textual links are still ok but it has been proved that text links inside posts or at the end of posts perform best. You can Join Affiliate Programs like Commission Junction, Click Bank, Amazon, etc
Ad Inventory- If you have a reasonable traffic you can sell your on ad space directly to advertisers. While this has its hiccups like payment processing, tracking clicks, impressions etc you will not have to share your revenue with anybody but only yourself.
Chitika Ads – Chitika is an online advertising solution just like Google Adsense but unlike google adsense it serves adverts based on your search engines traffic. For example if someone visit your site from google with the search term “ebooks” Chitika will serve adverts related to the search term only. The implication of this is that you will have high conversion rate and more earnings. One other good thing about Chitika is that the ads do not display when the your site is visited through other means.
Feed – Your feed is a good source of income especially if you have reasonable number of subscribers. Google Adsense for feed is very good you can go to your adsense account and activate it.
Sell Info products – You can sell info products like ebooks of your own in your blog.
Other PPC Networks – Other PPC networks like Adbrite, Bidvertiser, Yahoo Publisher and worth trying at least they will put money in your pocket.
